Thoughts & Opinions #5: Recent Changes

Edited by WhoIAm.

There have been many changes in the past couple weeks, where the logs have been changed to GMT+8, Junior and Senior divisions are back on the list, and a new promotion regulation takes over the agency. All of these changes are made with purpose, however. Aleida has gathered responses from members of various ranks about their opinions about the said changes and whether they are beneficial to the agency as a whole. We want to thank Eggcentric, PyrosCasket, and Asqry for sharing their thoughts about the recent changes!

What are your thoughts on the recent FIB changes, such as the addition of junior and senior divisions, the 20-minute rule, and the logs being made into GMT+8?

Eggcentric: For the junior and senior divisions, I think it’s a good change as there’s a partitioning between senior and junior workers. About the logs being made GMT+8 time, I think it’s easier and more convenient since the majority of the users’ time zone is GMT+8. The 20-min rule is better because some people just go AFK and start working a few minutes before they can get promoted. I feel like in a way that’s cheating on the more hardworking workers.

PyrosCasket: I wasn’t a part of FIB before the divisions were added, but from a former agency owner’s perspective the divisions are a great idea to keep everyone from jumping straight into HR within the first week. I feel that the 20-minute rule is useful and necessary. Converting the time to GMT+8 is hard as I am in CST, but It’s doable.

Asqry: I think the rules are good, but I don’t like the fact that the logs have to be made GMT+8 because it's quite time-consuming since you have to go all the way to the official website to convert time.

How do these changes affect you as a worker of the FIB?

Eggcentric: I don’t really feel like the Junior and Senior divisions affect me. For the logs being made into GMT+8, it's much easier now to promote and do the logs. I’ll just have to spend more time on boon because of the new changes, I guess.

PyrosCasket: They don’t, I’m cool with it, if only it could be put into action more often.

Asqry: They make me want to promote people less frequently.

Do you feel it was fair to make such an addition? Were any of the changes unnecessary?

Eggcentric: The 20-min rule was fair. As for the time having to be converted, it might be difficult for people working in a different time zone to log their promotions and training. I don’t feel like any of them were unnecessary.

PyrosCasket: I don’t really mind the 20-minute rule, I am still getting used to it.

Asqry: I feel that when all the logs were put into forums, it was way easier. I feel that removing forums was unnecessary.

Is there any existing rule you want to clarify?

Eggcentric: No.

PyrosCasket: Not really. I just wish we had some sort of a promotional team to get people into our Agency, ‘cause we just sit here most of the time.

Asqry: No.
