Thoughts & Opinions #7: Exclusive Units

Edited by anxiety

In the FIB, one of our main elements is the Exclusive Units we have. The units are essential to the structure of our system considering it gives each HR an additional job in the agency that is beneficial. The Events Team allows for the agency to have some fun every once in a while that builds a family-like bond that almost all of the workers speak about when asked about FIB. The Disciplinary Unit allows for workers to be easily monitored and provides HRs to know who’s doing right and who’s doing wrong. The News Team enables the FIB to agency to be informed, no matter where you are in the world. The Legal Affairs Team helps serve justice to all ex-workers or even current workers who were accused of something that they believe is false. The Awards Committee helps award workers who deserve it and allow for them to get their rightful recognition. The Financial Unit, the most important one, in my opinion (HA!), helps pay our workers rightfully so. Therefore, we shined the spotlight on these people to tell us more about their units.

Why did you decide to join your current unit; what appealed to you?

TheNamesBeck (ET): Well first I was in Legal Affairs, but I felt like I wasn't contributing much to FIB, so I joined ET.

Mirsa (DU): I think what made want to join the unit is for the sake of it. Personally, the whole strict but the friendly thing seems that it stands out because I already do that on a daily basis. Anyway, I thought “eh why not? It's there so let’s see what they have to offer,” and I don't know but I do kinda enjoy the things that were offered and the work that DU does, and it's a fun experience I never thought I never get because of my records

Lightzxx (NT): I decided to join NT because I wanted to have fun writing for other people and I used to be NT before.

YiRui (LA): I joined LA as I was looking for a fun and engaging unit that focused on roleplaying; LA was a great start as I had not much experience with such a unit and it intrigued me thoroughly, which was why I joined LA.

Sarah- (AC): I decided to join the awards committee because I’d like to chance to make every member of FIB feel special at some point in their working life with us. By being apart of the committee, I, along with my team, can find new awards and ways to brighten up the workers days.

Tingg (FU): We are automatically part of FU once we are 1iC. However, I find it quite interesting and challenging because I have to deal with all the funds and the matter faced which is very important especially since I'm second in command.

If you were given the opportunity, would you add a new rule or implement a new feature to a unit? If so, what would it be?

TheNamesBeck (ET): There isn't anything I want to add, it's perfect right now!

Mirsa (DU): A unit rule or feature, I think maybe a system where the head of units keep track of who's doing what. This means if anyone who stands out from working hard can get what they deserve for all their effort and the people that are slacking can get kicked off the unit and open more opportunities for people to come in from the people that are slacking off.

Lightzxx (NT): If I were given the opportunity, I wouldn't like to add any rules or features because NT is already good on its own.

YiRui (LA): As of now, there is nothing I want to implement.

Sarah- (AC): Not at the moment as the AC unit is still new and in its developing stages.

Tingg (FU): For now, I don't have one in my mind yet, but if there is any suggestion I am willing to consider it and progress the unit further.

What expectations do you have for future and trial unit members?

TheNamesBeck (ET): To have each member to host at least one event that finally makes the FIB family bond!

Mirsa (DU): My expectation is for them to try their best and work towards said best!

Lightzxx (NT): I hope future and trial units member will keep enjoying NT, and always commit to their roles.

YiRui (LA): I would expect future LA members to be serious and committed to the unit itself; loyal to the cause, upholding the positive values of a proud LA member.

Sarah- (AC): I would expect them to have a positive and open mind to new ideas/ possibilities. I believe a pleasant task for trial members would be letting them come up with some awards that we do not have yet.

Tingg (FU): I hope they are not afraid of making a mistake because failure will lead to success which makes them grow stronger and become a leader one day.

Thanks so much for reading! Come back next week.
